Nitric Oxide – A Molecule That Diminishes As We Age

Roughly 30 years ago scientists discovered that humans an animals produce nitric oxide, over 150,000 papers have been published on this molecule and a nobel prize was awarded to the scientists who discovered its importance in heart health. Having a half-life of less than one second shows just how amazing this discovery was at the time. So what is so important about nitric oxide for our health?
